PROGRAM UPDATE

20 August, 2007

Summer is winding down and now we being to look ahead to a very busy Fall agenda. The preseason in the NFL is in full swing and so are we…so take a gander below for the updates at what we have thus far!

Please note the updated Fall Coach Conference news, information about the unfortunate loss of Stephen Sturgis, one of our cherished PARC athletes, and the tidbit about the Program Recognition Dinner.

MEMORIAL INFORMATION

As just previously mentioned, SO-HVR, and more so, Putnam ARC’s family lost one of their shining stars, Stephen Sturgis this past week. Stephen had been a participant in SO for well over the past decade, perhaps even the past decade and a half if memory serves. He will always be remembered for his incredible smile and the pure joy he seemingly received just from being in the pool.
Stephen attended several years’ worth of Summer State Games in Aquatics and usually returned with a medal in at least one of the events in which he was entered. Over the years he also competed on the local and Regional levels in Aquatics, Bowling and Track & Field.
Stephen will be missed by all who has the pleasure to know him. We wish to convey our condolences to his family and his friends at PARC from everyone here at SO-HVR.
