PAST EVENTS

29 March, 2008 – Regional Aquatics, Powerlifting & Basketball – Marist
This event was a QUALIFYING event for any athlete/team that wishes to attend the SONY
Summer State Games. This event saw 14 Basketball Teams, and 100 BB Skills athletes compete. Additionally, there were over 50 swimmers and 16 powerlifters competing. An overall stellar event was hosted by Marist College. Special thanks to Paul for officiating Aquatics…all the coaches that kicked in to make Powerlifting a success, and too, to Charlie
Jones, Kathi Nolan, and Jenn Parry for their respective efforts in Basketball Team, Aquatics and
Basketball Skills. Finally, a huge thanks to Ed Doyle for coordinating the entirety if the event.
The staff at Marist and their coordination of the student-athletes as volunteers made the day
outstanding. So thanks again, to everyone for all that you did.

13 April, 2008 – Summer Coaches Conference
This conference saw 20+ coaches, new and to be improved, in attendance. 13 potential coaches were put through the rigors of General Session and then Track & Field training school. More than 5 of the credentialed coaches partook in advanced Track & Field training. A lot of networking was done and opportunities for our athletes were discussed. This should provide
more opportunities, and better training/competition for our athletes.

PIONEER SPORTS SCHOOL LEAGUE

In the midst of the Basketball cycle, all seems to be going well. Thanks to all the coaches for their efforts in keeping us informed as to your needs and successes. We appreciate all of your efforts on behalf of the athletes.
