February 23-25, 2007 - Winter Games - Syracuse. The HVR sent about 100 athletes and 30
coaches to Syracuse to battle the bitter cold and snow in Semi-upstate
NY. All four of our Hockey teams medaled in their respective divisions.
Go teams! Additionally, all of our individual athletes hauled in their fair
share of hardware as well. Everyone had a great time! Thanks to all of
the coaches whom continue to give up their time and energy allowing
the athletes continued opportunities to achieve! Kudos!

March 3, 2007 - Basketball Skills Competition - JF Kennedy HS
This competition saw in excess of 80 athletes and about 40 volunteers pull off
an outstanding day. Everyone had a great time. Divisions were tight and the
volunteers made the day a wonderful success.

March 3, 2007 - Basketball Team Competition - Somers HS
24 teams showed up for this LOCAL event. Though the day ran a little long,
the competition was fierce. Thanks to Nancy, Valerie, Sue, and Paul the
divisions were well-rounded. Special thanks to the officials whom ran their
behinds off all day! You guys and gals were great! Thanks, especially, to all of
the coaches and parents. Your patience and understanding was noted and
appreciated!

March 10, 2007 - Regional Aquatics Competition - Pace University
This event saw over 85 athletes compete in over 8 different events. Each
athlete was given the opportunity to compete in up three events plus a relay.
The Journal News was kind enough to send a reporter to cover the event and
post a nice article about the event in the Sunday Sports Section. Pace, always
the gracious host, cannot wait for our return next year. Special thanks to Mr.
Smith, the Pace Swim Coach and the Pace Student Athletes
that volunteered. Also, thanks are due to Paul McClintock, our Aquatics
Official for numerous years past!

PSSL - Pioneer Sports School League

The PSSL league Has already begun their Basketball Cycle.
Special Note to the Pioneer Coaches: Ardsley will (Hopefully) be joining the PSSL for the Basketball Cycle in 2007. Please be aware that their coach, Don, will be contact you, either directly, or through our office, to set up some additional games. Thanks so much for your cooperation and efforts in regard to making this program even more successful!
Additionally, I have been in contact with an AD from Rockland County. There is a possibility that one of the Rockland schools may be joining our program next year. At this time it is just a possibility. I will keep you posted!
