PAST EVENTS

SONY Winter Games: Special Thanks to ALL of the Coaches of the Hudson Valley Region! All of your patience and tolerance was greatly appreciated. I cannot thank you enough for your flexibility in times that were more than trying. Too, please extend my thanks to your athletes for their patience and understanding, as well. Between the bus issues and the weather, it certainly was a test of wills.

The Hudson Valley athletes as a unit came home with their share of metal after showing their mettle in weathering the “storms” presented! Sorry no pictures….my computer seemingly disallows them at this time!

The groundhog came and went, and so did January. It’s cold again, and Winter Games might even see some snow! Yee-ha! Let’s hope Syracuse sees the foot plus they’re predicting! It’d be a pleasant change of pace from the deluge of Binghamton!

This weeks’ update will be short, sweet and pointed as we are amidst preparing for the long, upcoming weekend, hence time is of the essence. So, let’s get to it, shall we…

PAST EVENTS

The Regional Floor Hockey Team Competition at the Mark Twain Sports Complex in Yonkers had 13 teams registered for this competition. Nancy Logan was kind enough, with the help of Kristine Burton and Charlie Jones to do the division and four teams took home gold, silver, and bronze medals, as well as some ribbons. There were over 190 athletes and coaches in attendance. Kudos to Bones and Co. for doing a fine job rounding up the officials for the day. Special thanks to all those that officiated. As always, you did an outstanding job!

Special Note of Thanks via Ted Mascola: Ted wishes to thank all of you who attended and/or made donations to the 'Moon Over Buffalo' Elmwood Playhouse Tennis Benefit on January 29. The benefit was a rousing success and surpassed expectations. Special kudos are due to the gracious cast and crew of this fabulous production for giving their time and energy.
